Kirsten and Mike have long been passionate about Big Sky – and a desire to make sure everyone who visits has an experience that will leave them longing to return. With that foundation, they couldn’t resist the opportunity to build a boutique vacation rental company that would hand select the best properties in Big Sky to offer you for your next vacation.

About Kirsten & Mike
After vacationing to Big Sky several times, Kirsten and Mike moved to Big Sky full time in August of 2008 from the Minneapolis, MN area. They are full-time residents with three children ages 10, 8 and 6 and are active members of the community. Kirsten is often asked how she ended up in Big Sky, MT and her short response is “mid-life” crisis. She’ll tell you that she and Mike looked at each other one day in the Twin Cities and asked why they were there. The hectic pace, long hours and lack of family time were just eating away at them. They moved to Big Sky in hopes of rebalancing their family priorities and have accomplished that and more. The entire family loves all that the area has to offer, and hope that you will, too.
Whether you desire to ski, hike, fly fish, visit Yellowstone, whitewater raft or enjoy any of the dozens of activities in the area, Kirsten and Mike are personally committed to helping you create lasting family memories.
Kris Malinowski – Guest Services Coordinator
Kris joined BSVR in fall of 2010 and brings a wealth of experience to our team.
She grew up just outside of Madison, WI and moved to Big Sky in 2003 after several visits to friends living in the area. As a full-time resident of Big Sky for 8 years Kris knows how to help you plan the perfect Big Sky vacation.
She married her husband Al in August of 2005 and has two children 4 year-old Addison and 1 year-old Ryan. Her husband Al has been part of Big Sky for more than 16 years and besides working in real estate development has coached Big Sky basketball teams for 11 years.
She states working with people and helping to make their vacations memorable as one of the greatest aspects of her job. She spent several years at the Big EZ Lodge in guest services and found the perfect niche for her strengths during her time there.
This experience working hands-on with guests allowed her to become very familiar with the recreational opportunities, restaurants and community events in the Big Sky Area. She left her position at the Big EZ when her first child was born four years ago and is excited about the great opportunity that BSVR has provided her to return to the industry she loves, yet still be at home with her children.
Kris is a great resource for assisting you with everything from spa appointments to Yellowstone National Park visits.

Headwaters Hot Tub Service specializes in offering the best and most personalized spa care in Big Sky. Owner and operator, Mac Coleman, is a nationally certified Pool and Spa Operator and certified Spa Technician based in Big Sky.

Property Maintenance and Emergency Maintenance Service:
All the properties participating in our rental program are checked on a weekly basis and professionally maintained throughout the year. In addition, all of our guests have access to 24/7 emergency maintenance service if a problem arises and calls are responded to immediately via a pager system.
